Hope you are having a great morning so far. Yesterday was a really fun day for me! Not only did I get to go to my first spin class, (you may see my H&F article on cycling here) I also went to visit this adorable little bakery near White Rock Lake.
If you are in Dallas, you MUST go check this place out! I do not want to give my whole article away that I am doing (in about a month) BUT I do want to tell you about it.
Right when I walk in, I was greeted by the one of the owners, Anne who immediately filled me up with tons of delicious snacks. Then I interviewed Taylor (they are mother and daughter) to learn a little but more about the bakery.
Wholesome Foods Bakery is a gluten-free, soy-free, preservative free, all-natural and organic bakery. They offer any kind of bread you could imagine, muffins, cupcakes, foodbars, more treats, etc. Their goal is to make products in the healthiest way possible. They only use healthy fats, unrefined sugars, and complex carbohydrates.
While I was there I had a double-chocolate chip cookie, snack mix, bite of brownie, and a few more I can not remember 😉 When I left I dug right into the Apple Cinnamon Bar, so so good.
Needless to say, it was amazing! Personally, if I am going to eat a big fat 400 calorie brownie, I would rather it be made as clean as possible without all of the added unnecessary ingredients like a nasty zebra cake or something.
Like I said, I do not want to give it away but let’s just say that Taylor was kind enough to give me a HUGE bag full of goodies to take home to the Kappa house and when I woke up this morning, everything was gone! GO!!
I will be back later today for a WIAW post!! Also, check out this healthy chicken salad recipe if you are in need of something for lunch today 🙂
